Tweed Shrug



From the same stitch I used for the tweed scarf I made a chunky tweed shrug out of.
Although I knitted it a while ago it was one of my many *UFOs I may have actually finished!

POM POM Weath

After 121 pom poms and running out of one of the greens when i was almost to the end this is my pompom weath i made for christmas. It stayed inside rather than outside on the door as it took to long to do to only see it when i come in the house.

Crocheted as you would a rose adding an extra loop each round.




fits a creme egg.

Sheeps Body.
Round 1:  5 DC into a magic circle.
Round 2:  3 CH, 1 DC into each DC (5 loops)
Round 3:  1 DC, 1 HTR, 1 TR, 1 HTR, 1 DC, into each loop.
Round 4:  3 CH, 1 DC into the back of each DC from round 2, adding a 3 CH loop DC into any TR.         (6 loops)
Round 5:  1 DC, 1 HTR, 1 TR, 1 HTR, 1 DC, into each loop.
Round 6:  3 CH, 1 DC into the back of each DC from round 4, adding a 3 CH loop DC into any TR.         (7 loops)
Round 7:  1 DC, 1 HTR, 1 TR, 1 HTR, 1 DC, into each loop.
Round 8:  3 CH, 1 DC into the back of each DC from round 6, adding a 3 CH loop DC into any TR.         (8 loops)

Tie off and sew the end in.
Sheeps Head.
Round 1: 3 DC into a magic circle.
Round 2: 2 DC into each DC. (6)
Round 3: 2 DC into each DC. (12)
Round 4,5: DC in each DC. (12)
Tie off and leave long strand to sew head onto body.
Ears
3 TR into any DC on Round 5 of head, tie off and sew end in.
Skip 2 DC, 3 TR into DC, tie off and sew end in.
Stuff the head slightly and add safety eyes.
Feet x 4
Round 1: 3 DC into a magic circle.
Round 2: 2 DC into each DC. (6)
Round 3: 1 DC into each DC. (6)
Tie off and leave long Strand to sew onto body.
Sew head, and legs on to body.
